YOGA: FERRIZ-FERRIERE METHOD

The psychophysical gymnastic yoga and relaxation method techniques were created by Dr Serge Raynaud de la Ferrière and Dr David Juan Ferriz Olivares, with INVESCIENCIAS  support (Institute of Research and Scientific and Technologic Applications)

The Yoga postures on which is based Ferriz-Ferrière Method allow an alert but relaxed state.

They alternate concentration and muscular relaxation, producing as an effect a physical and emotional wellbeing. They create harmony between the two brain hemispheres, improving concentration and mental reflexes.

Discover the vital strength of breath

Turtle, animal with a very long life, breaths only 4 times a minute.

The excess of breathing due to excessive effort takes vitality away from ourselves. It is therefore important to breath harmonically, deeply, slowly, make pauses between breathings and learn to use the diaphragm, due to the fact that the deeper and the more harmonic breathing is the abdominal one.

Prana or “vital energy” enters our body through blood, revitalising all tissues. Dr Serge Raynaud de la Ferrière based on the most antiques traditions reminds us that “breath is the master of thought and thought is the master of senses”.

Pre-Natal Yoga Classes in South Melbourne

We offer prenatal yoga classes: it is important to support future mums with a specific yoga practice which can assist with lower back pain, hips pain with specific exercises and yoga poses and the final relaxation time, which is important for both the mum and the baby.

Post-Natal Yoga Classes in South Melbourne

We offer postnatal yoga classes: mums can come with theirs babies.

We focus on the mums, to slowly get the belly area tonic again, get other feminine muscles tonic, relaxing the neck and shoulders area, which can be sore for the breastfeeding. At the end a relaxation with the bubs.

Please wear comfortable clothes, bring a beach towel for personal hygiene, we provide the yoga mats, arrive 5 minutes before the beginning of the class, thanks.

In the yoga studio we remove our shoes, because we practice daily on the floor, thanks.
