"THE ART OF ARRANGING FLOWERS" BY JULIA SING

The art of arranging flowers, the colour combinations, the shapes, the creativity with ribbons and wrapping.

“The Japanese art of arranging flowers, Ikebana, started three centuries ago, was intended as the symbolic expression of certain philosophical Japanese concepts in Buddhism: the Sky, the Man and the Earth. The strongest  stem which represents the Sky (Shin) constitutes the central line of any arrangement. The secondary stem (Soe) which symbolizes man, offers the effect of an oblique development in front of the central line, approximately at two third of the main stem hight and it is inclined on this last one. The third stem  (Hikae) which represents the earth, is the shortest one and it is presented towards  the front or slightly towards the opposite side of the bases of the two first ones.” Serge Raynaud de la Ferrière, “El Arte en la Nueva Era“, pag. 40.

With the possibility to take a 4 classes course with the florist, we will charge for the course $ 40, or per single class $ 10, materials excluded.
